Hi! I’m Lauren!

My name is Lauren and I’m so glad you’re here! This is my creative outlet and an online journal for me in some ways where I reflect on what I’m learning lately, share things I’m loving, and document both the major and the minor moments that make up my life.

If you’re looking for the world through the eyes of a 23 year old who is just trying to figure it out, find joy in the normal, and share things that make her every day better, this is the place for you. Whether it is travel guides, my latest favorite Starbucks order, or a new book to read, Life From Nashville will have it all.

I believe in sharing what I’ve learned and trying to help pave the way for those who are a step or two behind me. The gals at No One Told Me, A Touch of Teal, and Lonestar Southern have done that for me in so many ways. They all have made my life better that I feel strongly offering that to those around me and those who might not be nearby but need an older voice looking out for them and answering the questions we had in that season.

Where do you live? Where are you from?

I currently live in Gallatin, TN with my husband, John. I am originally from the south side of town – Nolensville, TN.

How did you and John meet?

We met at church! John is 3 years older than I am, so we didn’t run in the same circles while we were both in school, but I got to know him more while he worked at the church in my later high school years. We started dating during my freshman year of college, and we got married in June of 2021.

Where did you go to school?

I am a proud Volunteer! I graduated in 2021 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I majored in communication studies and minored in American Sign Language. I currently serve on the Young Alumni Council. Talking about the influence of attending UT is one of my favorite things. Holler if you’re thinking about becoming a Vol. I’d love the opportunity to convince you to give it a chance.

Do you work full time?

Yes! I work in marketing for an amazing local company.

What is your favorite food?

Ice cream without a question. Soft serve especially, but I don’t discriminate.

What other hobbies do you have?

When I’m not blogging, you can find me spending time with our family, hanging out with students in our student ministry, reading, or working out. I so appreciate you taking the time to visit my little space on the internet. I hope it brings you joy and you leave feeling a little inspired to try something new!
